Mohabbat for the craft of it

Some feelings don't belong to a single moment or a single thing. They reveal themselves in the patience of someone shaping clay by hand. In the poet who spends days searching for a single line. In the host who insists you stay for one more cup of tea. In the quiet satisfaction of making something well, even when no one is watching. Across cultures, those moments have been given different names.

In Urdu, one of them is Mohabbat. Often translated simply as love, but understood as something much wider. An affection for people, places and craft. A way of giving your full attention to whatever you believe is worth making. That idea became the starting point for this project. Not to design around the word. But around everything it represents.

The result was a single malt whisky called Mohabbat.

The design followed the same philosophy. The bottle takes the form of a surahi, a vessel that has been part of Indian homes for centuries, chosen not as a nostalgic reference but because it already carries a sense of familiarity and generosity. The label brings together Hindi and Urdu with quiet confidence, while a four-petal heart becomes the brand mark, each petal representing a different expression of Mohabbat. Deep crimson, black, amber and gold complete a palette that feels warm without becoming ornamental. Every element exists for the same reason. Not to make the whisky appear more premium, but to ensure the values behind its name could be felt before the first pour. Because Mohabbat was never just the name on the bottle. It was the idea that shaped everything around it.
