BASSLINE

ETCHED
IN
SOUND
Songs that shaped us, held now by the hands we’ve grown into.

Every sound
has a frequency
That frequency decides how high or low it feels, how deep it hits, or how sharp it sounds. When we visualise rhythm and sound, we begin to see how these frequencies shape emotion, with their patterns, pulses, and meaning. By seeing sound, we understand how music moves us, one beat at a time.
The bass is often the silent assassin of the sonic world, subtle, yet impossible to ignore. It gives weight and depth to music, grounding every note and rhythm in emotion and power.
WHAT IF
what if sound was more
than just heard?
What if you could see it?
Why does a single note on a sarangi bring tears, even when we don’t know the raga?
Why does a dhol’s vibration compel us to dance?
Because vibration bypasses logic. It speaks in the language of emotion, memory, and instinct. It taps into our nervous system and energy fields, much like how chanting, humming, or even silence in a temple alters your state of being.

Bass is more than just a low-frequency sound. It matches the rhythm of our bodies and goes straight to how we feel.
It doesn't need words or thoughts, it just makes us move. It's the part of music you feel in your chest.
exploring BASSLINE

The idea was to understand music and sound in its rawest sense.
To understand a sound visualizer, it was very important to see where and what the sound visuals looked like.
So, we decided to dissect and examine all its layers, understanding them one by one, so we could thoroughly comprehend the musical piece.
THE BRIEF
We decided to find a way to create
a physical tool that allowed us
to dissect sound in layers
and observe its projection.

Cymatics Patterns
We built a simple sound visualiser using a bamboo tube, mirror, and laser. Inspired by cymatics, first explored by Ernst Chladni in the 1700s and popularised by Hans Jenny in the 1960s, it shows how sound has form. Vibrations move the mirror, making the laser dance to music in real time.

Our Experiment
One Artist
We chose the voice that could carry weight without needing volume, Sukhwinder Singh.
His vocals are a storm of rhythm, soul, and sound, layered with raw emotional energy.
With him.
One Tool
We built a sound visualiser using a pipe, a mirror, and a laser, simple but alive.
As the song vibrates through the pipe, it shakes the mirror, making the laser dance in sync. Its music turned to motion, bass made visible on a wall.
One Feel
The sound patterns changed with every beat, bass made bold swirls, vocals created soft waves, and percussion sparked sharp spikes. Each genre left a different imprint on us.. Seeing these shifts helped us feel how sound moves both the body and the mind.

We’ve always said
music is a vibe
That’s what Bassline was made for.
visualiser that turns music into motion.
A laser-led experience that reacts to every beat, drop, and sway. Because we believe music isn’t just soundو it’s shape, emotion, energy.
And now, we’ve brought that feeling alive through an iconic visual, signature dance steps layered with strokes of neon.
Each color moving to bass, vocals, and instruments. It’s electric, hypnotic, and full of joy.
Just like music should be.
